Concrete Prices
There are various stories on how due to Katrina and the Chinese building boom are driving up the cost of building materials, particularly steel and concrete.
3 Questions:
How much are you paying for an 80 pound bag of concrete?
Where are you located?
Are you absorbing the increase costs or are you passing the costs on?

Lowes was selling 80# bags last fall for $2.94 or so and now they get $3.96.

here in alaska we pay $12.98 abag for 94# bag of portland cement
We don't use bags of concrete. We bulk buy sand, gravel, and cement and mix with a trailer setup. cost is about the same as truck mixed concrete without the minimum delivery if we use less than 3 yards. Around $75/yd.
Here in Orlando an 80 # bag is just under $4, however last year around this time it was less than $3.
Sorry we missed you at FenceTech, I came by your booth a couple of times on Thursday but nobody was home :-( Oh well maybe next year!
